Wind Flight Control · Aotearoa New Zealand

Every wind
has a line
through it.

WFC Disc Golf teaches Kiwis of every age to read the wind, throw with confidence, and fall for this game — in schools, at Have-A-Go Days, and on courses right across New Zealand, North Island to South.

Throw style:
Headwind

Wind against your throw. Disc acts more understable — "disc up". Aim for a slightly lower release for more lift. Try lower-glide discs.

Why WFC exists

Growing the game, one course at a time.

Not just an online page — WFC is the outreach engine introducing thousands of New Zealanders to disc golf, from first throw to first ace.

01

Grow the Game

Kids, parents, teachers, first-timers, seniors and social players — everyone gets a disc in hand, not just the elite field.

02

Make it Fun

Cartoons, comics, and funny reels. Disc golf that doesn't take itself too seriously.

03

Build Community

Show us your local course. Tag a friend. Share your ace. Conversation over advertising, every time.

04

Support Local Clubs

Spotlighting clubs across the country — not just home turf — so every region gets a turn in the feed.

Behind the discs

The people making it happen.

Two people, a truckload of gear, and a shared belief that disc golf should be for everyone.

Founder · Outreach Director, NZDG

Kelvin Cummings

Coaching, courses, and content — if it's growing the game somewhere in Aotearoa, Kelvin's probably behind it. School programmes, tournament support, and the camera never far away.

  • Stand for the Board of Directors and help lead the association (members aged 18+)
  • Get access to NZDG-sanctioned events and competitions as a player
  • Unlock PDGA event sanctioning if you run or direct tournaments
  • Become eligible for development, travel, and representation opportunities
